John qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Wilkins Kennedy in 1994 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the profession. He became a Partner at the firm in 2004 and was made Head of Wilkins Kennedy’s Not for Profit Group in 2005.
John works closely with his clients who include UK and overseas charities, schools, larger companies and international businesses to provide bespoke solutions to the challenges they face.
As Head of the firm’s Not for Profit Group, John provides audit and advisory expertise to a large not for profit portfolio, including charities, independent schools, theatre and arts, social enterprises, public sector organisations and membership clubs. He is responsible for ensuring that our clients and staff remain abreast of key sector developments and receive top quality technical training and advice both in respect of their audit and accounting requirements but also proactive tax and VAT solutions.
In addition to his charity portfolio, John has strong commercial experience providing audit, assurance and advisory services to international businesses and is also a member of the Technology Group.
John is a member of The Charity & Voluntary Sector Group of the ICAEW and the Charity Finance Group (CFG).
